A New Happening!
3rd Thursday ~ Member History Writing
Come visit and write about events in your life. Far to often, when a family generation is gone, so is their history. We have journals available for you to write down the happenings in your life, like when you walked through three feet of snow to school. Just kidding on that one! This would be a incredible gift for your family.
The Yelm Senior Center does not have storage for, nor do we accept medical equipment (wheelchairs/walkers/bath chairs/crutches, etc.).
The Medical Equipment Bank is located in the basement of
Woodlawn Funeral Home
5930 Mullen Rd SE in Lacey.
They are open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10-11:00 am.
Leaving items on our property constitutes illegal dumping!
The Yelm Senior Center will gladly accept, and appreciates donations of other items. We would ask that you call us first, to verify if it is something we can accept at the time.
Please don't leave items outside our door or in the gazebo.
New Membership Guidelines
People under 50 years old may join the Yelm Senior Center. The fee is $1 for each year under 50, plus the membership fee due at the time they join. Membership fees decrease per quarter. Standard membership dues of $50.00 per year apply after age 50.
Monthly Birthday Celebrations
We don't want to miss your special day!
We will celebrate YOU on the second Tuesday of each month.
A special dessert will be served after lunch.
Join us in celebrating the birthdays of our members.
Thurston County Senior Property Tax Exemptions

To apply for the senior/disabled exemption contact the Thurston County Assessor.
Your safety is our top concern! Please monitor the news. We will adhere to the Yelm School District delays or closures, or may choose to close if we feel conditions at the center are unsafe (icy parking lot or sidewalks). Please call if we can help you during bad weather and family is not available to help. To find out if we are open, or for more information, call (360) 458-7733.
